A+UP Charter Dianne Johnson High School
Life Readiness. Launch Readiness.
Propel your kid into the life and career of their dreams through our personalized
dual-credit program.
Don’t Wait for the “Real World”
For most students, high school becomes a series of hoops to jump through before arriving at the “real world.” Not only does this extinguish our kids’ intrinsic motivation and creativity during high school, but it also contributes to a broader trend of college dropouts and dead-end jobs.
At A+UP, we’ve got a different approach. We believe in providing students with custom-tailored curriculum and instruction that nourishes their gifts and abilities and sets them on a trajectory for future success.
Personalized Plans
We don’t believe in the one-size-fits-all approach to education. Every student receives individual attention from a Learning Coach to craft a learning plan that meets their needs.
Dual-Credit
100% of our students will be enrolled in dual-credit courses (for free) thanks to our partnership with Houston City College (HCC). Families will save time and money on college credits in the future.
Career Readiness
Through mentorship, career certifications, and community relationships, students won’t wait till after high school to start applying themselves to work that they love.

“My child is too important to get lost in the crowd. At A+UP, the teachers know my child, expect their best, and hold them accountable. That’s what I want from a school.”
